Our Focus
We focus on change of control and recapitalization transactions. In most cases, we have a majority equity position in our portfolio companies, and in some cases, we may share control with other like-minded investors.
We have a regional focus on companies headquartered in the Midwest with particular interest in the upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota). We will consider investment opportunities outside of the Midwest if they operate in industries in which we have prior experience and expertise.
We target companies with enterprise value ranging between $20 and $150 million.
Investment size typically ranges from $10 to $25 million; however with our institutional partners we have the ability to invest substantially more.
Our investment hold period is typically 4 to 6 years; exit decisions are made in conjunction with management.
We are less sensitive to location and size for strategic add-on opportunities.
