Veronica oversees office administration and corporate programs and events. Previously, Veronica assisted the Vice Chairman of the Consumer Products Division at US Bancorp for over 15 years.

Teresa Crater

Teresa Crater joined GHJ&M in 2007. She is responsible for investor communications, including creation and maintenance of marketing materials and management of the firm’s target marketing tools. She is also responsible for maintenance of the firm’s investor reporting portal, contact management and deal flow tracking. Teresa is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict.

Grace N. Haagenson

Grace Haagenson joined the firm in 1998 after 15 years at GHJ&M former portfolio company Knutson Mortgage Corporation where she served as Vice President & Corporate Secretary. Her 30+ years of business experience provides the firm with a utility player in a number of roles. In addition to handling the firm’s treasury and back office functions, she is also responsible for investor accounting and reporting for the firm’s Marathon Funds. She also collaborates with the Chief Compliance Officer in support of the firm’s registration as an investment adviser and other compliance activities.

Joseph P. Helms

Joe Helms joined GHJ&M in 2012 as an Associate. As a member of the Investment Team, Joe is responsible for assisting with deal origination, transaction structuring and financing, in addition to monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to joining GHJ&M, Joe was an Associate at Prospect Partners in Chicago and spent two years as an Analyst at Lincoln International in Chicago.

Joe graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame.

Aaron J. Goldstein

Aaron Goldstein joined GHJ&M in 2012 as the Chief Financial Officer of Trailhead Fund, GHJ&M’s current fund. Prior to joining GHJ&M, Aaron worked as a Supervisor in the Financial Services Group at McGladrey & Pullen in Chicago where he specialized in audits of private equity funds and prepared financial statements in accordance with SBA regulations. Aaron received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his MBA from DePaul University. Aaron is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Andrew M. Tomashek

Andrew Tomashek joined GHJ&M in 2012 as an Associate. As a member of the Investment Team, Andrew is responsible for assisting with deal origination, transaction structuring and financing, in addition to monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to joining GHJ&M, Andrew was an Analyst with Greene Holcomb & Fisher and previously worked in Oppenheimer & Co.’s Fixed Income group where he assisted in bond underwritings, private placements, and restructurings.

Andrew is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management (BSB) with highest distinction and has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program.

Michael T. Sweeney

Mike was recruited by the company’s founders in 2000. When Mike joined the firm, he brought with him a wealth of experience in both operating management and corporate finance roles. He has been heavily involved in the investment of Marathon Funds IV and V and working with the management of their portfolio companies.

Mike currently serves on the board of GHJ&M portfolio company Specialty Commodities.

Mike is now the Chairman and CEO of Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc. (NYSE-LVB).

Prior to his international corporate leadership experience with Starbucks Coffee Company (UK) Ltd. in London, Mike spent several years as an entrepreneur developing the businesses of Blockbuster Video and later Papa John’s Pizza in Minnesota. He had the opportunity to work closely with GHJ&M when it became the lead investor in the Blockbuster business. Mike’s early career in corporate finance also includes Merrill Lynch in New York and Phoenix and a boutique investment banking business he launched, built and sold.

He also holds board positions at the Guthrie Theater and the Walker Art Center. Mike is also a director at First Solar Corporation (NASDAQ-FSLR) and The Star Tribune Company.
